THE PLOT:

Mike Nelson and his robot friends are stuck in space trapped by a madman who sends him bad movies in order to twist his mind and rule the world. But y'all know all this if you read my review of MST3K the series. This is the big screen adventure of the crew of the Satellite of Love. As they are forced to watch the classic but less then perfect "THIS ISLAND EARTH" and trust me they sat through much, much worse movies then this one.

ZEDD'S OPINION:

If you are familiar with this page then you are aware that I love MST more then practically any other show on Earth, right after Hannah Montana. But speaking as a fan I was a tad disappointed by the shortness of the movie, they left out a whole bunch of stuff they didn't have to edit out. This isn't airing on TV, there was no need to edited for commercials. SO I'm afraid I have to give it 8 STARS.

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

As you also might know from reading the review I am not a big fan of the show, but I also enjoyed watching the movie despite the fact that THIS ISLAND EARTH is a much better movie and didn't deserve the treatment it got. And I also agree with ZEDD that they cut way too much out for no reason. So for me, I give it, 4 STARS.

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):

+ CAST (The cast does a great job, but it's the same cast from the TV show, they always do a great job.)
+ FUNNY (Very funny.)
+ FANS (Fans of the show will enjoy this movie.)
+ BUDGET (With them upping the budget the effects are even better.)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- TOO SHORT (They cut way too much of THIS ISLAND EARTH considering this is a movie and no add breaks.)
- TOO GOOD (THIS ISLAND EARTH might have been too good of a movie to show.)

...AND FINALLY...

- FAN BASED (If you aren't a big fan of MST or don't know what it is, this may not be the best way to start the show.)
